November 9th 2008

OK, it's been a long time since my last post and so I must continue the story. My very talented hubby and I cleaned up this piece of property in order to have a place where our kids and grand kids could come and have a great time. While we were in the process of the development my Son and future daughter in law wanted to get married out here, Sooooooo we really hurried up and got ourselves in gear and finished the pond and the rock landscape around the pond. At the time of Tyson and Jessica's wedding( June 2004) we had just planted some very small trees and some bushes and really had no grass to speak of. What was really surprising was the response from the guests that attended. They were very complimentary and thought we had done this for weddings! A few months later one of our daughters wanted to get married at the property and again people were very encouraging about the setting and the thought that Moses Lake really needed a place like this for weddings and gatherings. So, that in a nutshell is how I got into the wedding business. I am posting a few pictures of my daughters wedding so you can see the begining.
Next time I'll talk about the 2009 season and what's to come....it's been fun!

OK, I have finally made the leap into writing on my blog. This is a scary adventure and I would not have attempted this if it were not for my silly friend, Colleen Donovan (awesome photographer extraordinaire)!! Colleen wants me to let people know what I do and what I have to offer and me being......uhm...late 40's and all wanted to take the more traditional path of newspaper and radio and such, but NOOO, Colleen quickly dashed those old fogy ideas and drug me off to the world of websites and now blogs!! So as I start I guess I will have to explain what I do and maybe give you some background so you will understand how I got to where I am. My husband and I have a piece of property that was a gigantic mess that took years to clean up and I now rent it out for weddings and other events........oops hubby just called and is heading home, I need to get dinner, to be continued............
